Prabuji you cannot just claim something without support of shastric evidence otherwise just going around and around beating around a bush for sake of arguments without any logical flow will take us anywhere. ....

Answer
Dear ...
It is not my job, to correct your view on certain slokas or the view of anybody else.
I mean, you quote Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur yourself just to proof your position [syllable-form is more powerful than sound-form], but in the very same quote you actually proof my position:
"The syllable-form of the name is also the supreme absolute truth, just like the sound-form of the holy name."
(Bhaktivinoda Thakur)

I don't want minimize the power of the syllable-form by Nitai-lekhan! The holy name of Nitai is in any form same powerful and same merciful!
Therefore is there no need to exaggerate lekhan over all other single processes of bhakti, especially kirtanam, which was preached directly by Lord Gauranga.
Why putting lekhan above all the other processes of bhakti, which were preached by Nitai and Gauranga Themself? There is no need to jump over the heads (Their own Preaching) of our beloved Lords.

Therefore I quote again Srila Prabhupada:
"There are nine different processes of devotional service (sravanam kirtanam vishnoh smaranam pada-sevanam arcanam vandanam dasyam sakhyam atma-nivedanam), but all of them are meant only for the service of the Supreme Lord. Therefore whether one hears, chants, remembers or worships, his activities will yield the same result. Which one of these processes will be the most suitable for a particular devotee depends upon his taste."
(Purport of Cc 1.9.25)

You sayd before, we are unable to touch the name with our tongue.
But Chaitanya-caritamrita 2.15.108 says something else:
Lord Gauranga:
"One does not have to undergo initiation or execute the activities required before initiation. One simply has to touch the holy name with his tongue. Thus even a man in the lowest class (candalala) can be delivered."
The translation of the synonyms is very clear:
jihva-sparse = by touching with the tongue.

More quotes of Shastra which support the importance of kirtanam (touching the name with the tongue):
"The Lord’s holy name, His form and His personality are all one and the same. There is no difference between them. Since all of them are absolute, they are transcendentally blissful.
There is no difference between Krishna’s body and Himself or between His name and Himself. As far as the conditioned soul is concerned, everything is different. One’s name is different from the body, from one’s original form and so on.
The holy name of Krishna, His transcendental qualities and pastimes as well as Lord Krishna Himself are all equal. They are all spiritual and full of bliss.
’Therefore material senses cannot appreciate Krishna’s holy name, form, qualities and pastimes. When a conditioned soul is awakened to Krishna consciousness and renders service by using his tongue to chant the Lord’s holy name and taste the remnants of the Lord’s food, the tongue is purified, and one gradually comes to understand who Krishna really is.’"
(Lord Gauranga in Cc 2.17.131-132, 135-136)

There is no difference touching Nitais name with the finger (lekhan) or with the tongue (kirtanam), because His name is in any form absolute and identical with His personality, His pastimes etc.

After all, this is only true for the stage of shuddha-nama. The real touch happens with our spiritual body, not with our material senses.

You wrote to me:
"Saying that something material can never touch the Lord in our offensive stage, is like saying that I am so sick that I don’t want to take the medicine because it will never work on me."

Answer
For this I like to qoute Sri Gauranga Himself, because you always ask for shastric proof:

ataeva krsnera ’nama’, ’deha’, ’vilasa’
prakrtendriya-grahya nahe, haya sva-prakasa

prakrta-indriya-grahya nahe = not perceptible by the dull senses made of matter!

"The holy name of Krsna, His body and His pastimes cannot be understood by blunt material senses. They are manifest independently."
(Cc 2.17.134)

It is very clear: Our material senses have NOT the power to perceive the real spiritual name which is identical with the Lord!
And your conclusion is free of vaishnava-philosophy and completely wrong!
By Nitais mercy we are connected with His name at least via nama-abhasa (the stage of purification) and because of Nitais extraordinary mercy we get from time to time small drops of nectar, until we reach shuddha-nama, which delivers our spiritual body with spiritual senses, as described in Harinam Cintamani by Bhaktivinoda Thakur. I wonder, how you reach your "conclusion"!

Nitaipreshthji wrote here:
Nitai has answered my desperate prayers. I wanted the most direct proof for our main teaching of Harinam Ruchi by Nitainam Lekhan. Today finally, I suddenly got the inspiration about this perfect proof by Nitainam Lekhan's mercy, thought it was staring at my face all this time. What a momentous day today! Here it is:

"Nitainam destroys all offenses; ends bondage; and grants namruchi, love, and Radha Shyam darshan."
(Srila Bhaktivinoda in Gitavali, Nam Kirtan Song 2)

Answer
Yes! And this is also a proof for any other form of service to the holy name like hearing, chanting or remembering Nitais name!
Nitainam (Nitais name) is the real big secret and lekhan (writing), kirtanam (chanting) or any other process of serving Nitainam is the way to connect yourself with Him and His extraordinary love and mercy!
